Now that Halloween theme has kicked into PS, everyone’s living room are getting spookier!
It would be so much cuter if the pet can hold the pumpkin treat bucket.

After my first Moroccan friends room, I always reserve a room for display of treats and cakes. I wanted it to be a cake shop, then I wanted it to be a candy shop but now, it is just a party room. A bit cluttered, but I have so many things I wanted to display.

Took me a long to to remove everything in the STUDY, to make space for this ! Now it’s exactly how I want it. Nice isn’t it?

I just love the cupcakes, I wish it would come in different colours too.

How addictive this game is!

Posted in 120557 on July 14, 2009 by HAPPYBLOGGER

Met up with a long time no see friend, and we are both addicted to PS. The conversation first started with catching up lost years, then it moved on to the items that we WANT on PS. How weird is that? I am almost embarrassed to admit that I am so addicted to it, and she just talk about it as if it’s just part of her life – well, it probably is by now. She has been playing since last year, and I just started playing in May. So I could be as mad about it as she is, in a few months time!

Interior renovation

Posted in 120557 on July 7, 2009 by HAPPYBLOGGER

on PetSociety… not anywhere else.

Still addicted to this game, it satisfy my shopping urge & my addiction to moving things around in a room for display purposes! I also know a lot of people who are also as addicted as I am with this game.

This summer in London is HOT! with a few days of humid tropical weather, I have had many bowls of Eton Mess, and 2 bites of Margrette’s Victoria sponge with fresh strawberries… yummy! While watching the tennis at an outside terrace at Bluebird down King’s Road. The fish pie they are serving upstairs is not too good, but OK, however, the elder-flower sorbet is really nice! You really should order it when you are ever there.

With so many happy summer images clouding up my brain, I couldn’t resist giving my pet a renovation. Instead of having so many unaffordable floor to ceiling windows that are probably not even for sale anymore, I decided to get the “Sea Wall Paper” to get the full seaview look for the master bedroom, and I wiped out the study to make room for a Terrace overlooking the Med. One room I did not touch was the bathroom, it can stay boring for the summer!

So here are my latest renovation outcome:

Recent addiction

Posted in 120557 on June 15, 2009 by HAPPYBLOGGER

I am shamefully addicted to Pet Society on Fb.
Since I cannot get enough coins to buy everything that I desire in the game, I have been creating my own happy pet scenes with images of items that I want from the Pet Society Data base & the News on Pet Society dot com.

Here is what I have to share:

Within the game, there are these Mystery eggs that you have to collect. It has sets of magical toy sets, when u have collected all the parts in the sets, it moves when u click on them. However, I only like one toy, the pirate ship… in the tank. So here is what I have created with it:

Oh and this:

Do u like them?

And if you are also playing the game, would u like to trade?

Home grown happiness!

Posted in 120557 on June 11, 2009 by HAPPYBLOGGER

My best friend Julie who lives in Melbourne has harvested 4kgs of persimmons. She sent me a request for what to do with them. I love eating them, but I have no idea what to do with them… does anyone have any suggestions?

When we first lived in Melbourne, we had a lemon tree at the front of our garden. When mom makes baked salmon for dinner, I would leap outside and jump up to get a lemon from the tree!

On hot days, we like to make fresh lemonade, and when guests are coming for dinner, we’d make lemon scented water. A cold jug of water with slices of lemon floating around is already a relaxing sight…

In the back, from our neighbours behind, their apricot and walnut tree hung it’s fruit baring branches over to our side… it’s common knowledge that what ever is on your side of the garden, it’s yours. So… hahahhaha! Yummy.

I spent many lazy afternoons at Loretta’s Camberwell backyard. They have nothing but fig trees. They were always ripe, always sweet. I LOVE FIGS… (in Hong Kong, they sell for $75 HKD for 8!)

Rebecca & Margaret’s back yard has tons of yellow plums. When they ripen all at the same time, we ate nothing but plums all month!

Now, back in HK… fruit baring trees are rare to find in someone’s backyard. First of all not many has a backyard; but !!!! A friend’s parent’s backyard has a few Jack Fruit trees, pomegranate trees and even a Chinese peach tree… but with only one tiny yellow peach.

Terresa who lives up the road from I has a huge terrace. The terrace leans on a hill, where 4 very reliable papaya trees blossomed, and surprisingly a grape vine also grew on her pergola… she has no idea where the seeds came from, it just grew!

What do you have on your trees?

Splurge – wish list

iMac – since my laptop has kind of melted. Not even one year old! Obviously not enough ram to do all the things I am doing on it.

A Hästens bed – my current mattress is 25 years old, killing my back, every morning I wake up in aches and pain. So I did some research and found the best bed in town! Hästens!!! Made a booking at the local show room to try it out, brought my own sheet and pillow, jumped on it and thought about …nothing… noozzzeee I literally fell asleep before I asked about it’s price! $14,7860 HKD – blew my mind off! Can’t afford that at all.

Still looking for a flat, with elevator so my grandparents could come for tea. I love my grandparents!!! Grandies are so cool.

Pancakes pics

I managed to take some pics during the cooking of this.
I found that using butter to coat the pan first makes the pancakes more crispy… taste best with butter!
Look how crispy they look on both sides!
I like to pour a few drops of lemoncello over the pancakes when it is cooking it’s 2nd side and then a spoonful of sugar sprinkled over them.. roll it up and munch it down! YUMMY!

Shove Tuesday pancakes

Posted in 120557 on April 16, 2009 by HAPPYBLOGGER

I know it is way pass 24 Feb. Which was the real pancake day in England this year.
But I love pancakes. Not the thick American kind. I just like these ones that are a little thicker than French crepes and I have it with lemon and sugar.

I think anyone who has been in the British boarding school system can make a perfect Shove Tuesday pancake. We were given 1 egg, 1 pint of milk and a small bag of flour and the use of the 6th form’s kitchen. I heard from my little cousin that they were allowed to do that too.

If you do not know what Shove Tuesday is, it is the day before Ash Wednesday, the start of lent.

This is how you would make your’s if you wanted to…
About a cup of flour in a basin, make a hole in the middle, crack an egg into the middle, stir in the flour, add some milk stir again… keep adding milk and stirring until all the flour is in. It should be a bit lumpy, then add some water, a little at a time – keep adding and stirring with a fork until the mixture resembles white paint (runny, but creamy.)
Now, heat some butter in a shallow frying pan, and drop in a ladle of the mixture in, pick up your pan and swirl it around, covering all of the pan.
When one side is done, the sides will come away from the pan. Flip in the air if u can, if not … use a tool to help flip it.

I am sorry I cannot tell u how much of what to put in, because I have never had a recipe and was never given any measuring cups or spoons when I was learning to make this at school! Everything was done by watching older girls and by pure experiments. Then it is all from experience!

I think they tasted best with icing sugar and butter. Lemon and sugar is very nice too!

I tried one with spray cream and syrup – which was a mistake, because the fake cream just ruined it.
