Journey to my (not yet) KitchenAid stand Mixer
People always says one can buy anything in Hong Kong, true; only if you know where to find them.I am looking for a KitchenAid stand mixer. And I want it to match the colour of my kitchen – yellow; but first of all, I have to find out where it is sold. Ummm..The simplest way is to log on to www.kitchenaid.com and under their international sites, you will find Hong Kong – by itself, separate from China. Through the popped up page, there comes a list of dealers in Hong Kong with telephone numbers, hopped onto the phone and called their service centre, was told that, I must buy from their list of retailers if I wanted their service later (if anything ever goes wrong with it.) It is a safer bet to get one from them… However, even after checking up all the prices with different stores – same prices.. I still wanted to get one from the Panhandler’s at Prince’s Building in Central. Don’t ask me why… Go ahead, call me weird. The official KitchenAid retailers in Hong Kong are G.O.D. & 10th floor in SOGO Department stores. Ok, SOGO is currently own by New World.. I have to know that because I do not want to spend $$$ in Jap stores if there are other choices, that is my mom’s and my principal. However, I do not like going to crowded places and CWB IS nothing but polluted and crowded. G.O.D is slightly better. So… I am debating between Panhandler’s in Central? G.O.D. in Hp Vly? or polluted jam packed SOGO???It is now 4:09 pm and Panhandler’s just called to tell me they have yellow… I’ll probably get it from them, since they are in Central and they speak English better.
